Today, I’m sharing 5 creative ways to make Mondays amazing.

Let’s go!

Oh, no—it’s Monday again!

This is the day of the week most people dread. It means back to work, back to your routine, and back to all the mundane tasks and responsibilities that make up the week.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the weekends could last forever?

Well, that ain’t gonna happen! But that doesn’t mean you have to suffer through another Monday. Believe it or not, Mondays can actually be enjoyable. You just have to think creatively.

And I’m not just saying that because I love Mondays. There’s something about the fresh start of the week that makes me get out there and kick some ass.

Hey, I was born on a Monday. It’s my destiny!

But if that’s not you, then here are 5 creative ways you can make Mondays amazing. I promise.

1. Wear something that makes you feel fabulous.

Nothing ruins a Monday faster than wearing something that doesn’t quite fit or that you just blindly grabbed out of the closet. Wearing a fabulous ensemble will make you feel better about yourself and more optimistic about the day.

Take a few minutes Sunday night to choose an outfit that makes you feel really great about yourself. It should fit and not be itchy. I try to wear bright, highly saturated colors to make my day a little more cheerful.

2. Listen to upbeat music or an audiobook.

Getting ready when you’re tired or suffering through a long commute can make your Monday extra gloomy. That’s why you should listen to upbeat music or an engaging audiobook to keep you in a positive frame of mind.

Choose music that has a good beat and happy lyrics (nothing slow or depressing). If you prefer to listen to an audiobook, choose one with an appealing story so you’re distracted from your usual Monday worries.

3. Plan a delicious lunch or snack.

Having a yummy lunch or snack to look forward to will certainly make your Monday morning fly by. But don’t settle for a greasy fast food meal. It doesn’t take long to plan a healthy meal that will give you energy instead of making you want to take a nap in the afternoon.

Plan your lunch during the weekend and stop by the grocery store to pick up any ingredients you need. Try to find a treat you normally don’t indulge in so that the meal is extra special.

4. Connect with someone.

Mondays can make you feel really isolated, especially if you have an overflowing email inbox or mountain of papers to sort through. No one wants to sit alone at a desk all day, so make a point to connect with someone in a meaningful way.

You could go out to lunch with a friend, have a coffee break with a colleague you don’t get to chat with often, or even call your sister or mom for a laugh. I bet you could make someone else’s Monday happier by connecting with them.

5. Make Sunday special.

Maybe your Monday is such a bummer because your weekend went by too fast. If that’s the case, try to slow down on Sunday by planning something special.

Enjoy a nice meal with your family, play games with friends, go shopping for a new outfit (and wear it on Monday!), or curl up with that book you’ve been meaning to read.

By soaking up as much enjoyment as you can on Sunday, you’ll be in a much happier mood on Monday morning.

That’s it! Those are 5 creative ways to make Mondays amazing.
