Get Instant Super Fans By “Meeting Them Where They’re At”

You’ve probably heard before that you don’t have to be everything to everyone.

There’s no need to burn yourself out bending over backwards to please people who might not be your ideal clients.

I totally agree with that, which is why I don’t offer courses on social media ads, legal necessities, or graphic design. Those things are WAY beyond my capabilities. 

But I do believe in considering your customers’ needs and “meeting them where they’re at.”

Last week, I hosted a live stream training called “You’re Askin’ For It” all about proactively asking for the sale. One nugget of wisdom I shared really resonated with you:

“People don’t have to prove they’re worthy of your help by opening their wallets.”

Let that sink in, baby.

I know far too many business leaders who hold back all the “good stuff” until someone gives them enough cold, hard cash. What a cruel and sad way to treat your followers!

Now, I’m not saying you should give away all your time, knowledge, and energy for free, but there’s a way to meet them where they’re at without shaming them or squeezing the pennies out of them.

Here’s an example. Consider the Walt Disney Company. Whatever you think about the House of Mouse, Disney knows how to meet their customers where they’re at.

  • If you have no money, you can watch free Disney cartoons on YouTube.
  • If you have a little more money, you can go to Target and buy a Mickey Mouse T shirt.
  • If you have a little more money, you can pay for the Disney+ streaming service every month.
  • If you have a little more money, you can spend the day at the Disneyland Park. (And take me with you because I live a few miles away!)
  • If you have a little more money, you can go on a Disney Cruise. (Again, take me with you.)

No matter your budget or lifestyle, everyone can experience Disney in some way.

That’s what it means to meet them where they’re at.

No one is denied help because of their financial situation. And these free resources don’t drain my energy.
