No matter what kind of project you’re working on, the hardest thing to do is to take that first step.
You’ve got to pump yourself up to take action despite feeling like an imposter or feeling scared out of your mind.
Editing your life isn’t for lazybones who would rather sit on the couch watching Netflix and eating cookies.
And don’t use the excuse that you’ll do a better job if you wait until you’re completely ready. That will never happen!
Watch this video to learn why you must take action before you’re ready.

Hey there! I’m Sage Grayson, a former book editor turned life coach. I help ambitious career women edit their habits, routines, and mindsets to balance their happiness at work and home.
I’m a Life Editor…and so are you!
Today, we’re talking about why you must take action before you’re ready. Let’s go!
At the time of this recording, I’m at the tail end of my launch for the 2017 Life Editor Academy mastermind group. It’s 12 months with 10 ladies, to give you 1 perfectly edited life with 0 burnout.
We have a ton of fun in the Academy, but it’s also a lot of work. We get really serious about setting goals, deleting bad influences, adding good habits, making time for white space, and everything else involved in the Life Editing Process.
A few ladies have contacted me because they’re interested in applying for Academy, but they’re worried they’re not ready to take on such an enormous commitment.
What if they’re not ready to make those positive changes? What if their comfort zones are just too powerful?
I get it.
It’s incredibly tempting to procrastinate on our goals because we want to be ready. We want things to be just right. In our minds, we think that going for what we want will be so much easier when we’re truly ready.
Well, I’ve got 2 reasons why you must take action before you’re ready. Yes, even if it’s scary.
1. The best leaders don’t wait on good ideas.
You are here on this earth for a purpose, and I can tell you right now that your purpose is not to sit on the couch watching Netflix.
You are worth so much more than to just drift through your life like nothing matters…like you don’t matter.
That’s not true. You are here to be a leader in whatever way that manifests for you.
Maybe you’ll run your own business and be an inspiration to entrepreneurs. Maybe you’ll be a strong and caring mother so your children will grown up to be compassionate adults. Maybe you’ll focus on your health and help others regain their energy and drive.
The best leaders don’t wait on good ideas. They know the longer they procrastinate, the longer the people who need them will be waiting for their help and inspiration. Don’t make them wait!
The best leaders take action even if they’re not ready and certainly if they’re not perfect.

2. You’ll never be ready.
I think you already knew this deep down. You’re never going to be completely ready for any change you want to make in your life.
You might never feel smart enough to go back to school, but that’s why you’re going back to school in the first place.
You might not feel confident in your appearance so you won’t put yourself out there on a dating site, but wouldn’t you rather be with someone who loves you for how you look right now?
You’ll never feel like you have enough time, money, or expertise to start a business, but you’ll never get those things unless you take the first baby step.

My point here is that you must take action before you’re ready because this is the only life you’ve got.
Be a brave Life Editor and take action. We need you to lead us even if you’re not ready.
Here’s the thing: you’re not alone. You can join me and other unprepared women for a year of life editing and taking action in Life Editor Academy.
