I Blew Up My TBR! End-of-Year Reading Goals
Not to be dramatic, but I blew up my TBR!
In my defense, it had to be done. If you’ve been following my videos, then you know my goal was to read 100 books in 2023.
Well, I’ve already accomplished that goal and have read 102 books with 2 months left to spare. That’s 25,253 pages, and consists of 83 nonfiction and 19 fiction. My biggest genre was self-help, which should surprise nobody.
But my reading plans got a little jumbled during the summer. I was working on more projects, I was craving comfort so I read a bunch of books I had previously read that were not on my TBR, and then I caught you-know-what that I’m not allowed to say on YouTube.
I’ve been sick for 2 months and still have good days and bad days. I’m not running at 100% yet, but I want to read with a purpose again.
However, my TBR (or to-be-read) list was getting out of hand. I started reading certain books and then abandoned them. I checked out a ton of books from the library that were not a part of my plan. And yes, I bought some new books too just to add to my ever growing TBR length.
I needed to regroup, so I blew up my TBR, and now I’m formulating a new plan. Watch today’s video for my end-of-year reading goals.
