The Life Editor Podcast Ep. 18: Create a Command Post

Today, I want to talk about organization. A place for everything, and everything in its place.

One of my favorite ways to stay organized is to create a command post in my home.

A command post is a side table, console table, desk, or other flat surface where you place your most-used items, prep yourself for your day, and deposit these things at the end of the day.

A command post could also be called a home base or a landing strip. Personally, we call ours a staging table because it’s where we get ourselves together before we “go on stage” or out in the world.

What do you put on a command post? Anything that you use daily and need to be able to find quickly.

Think about how much time you waste by looking for your keys, your kid’s permission slips, your purse, your dog’s leash, that wedding invitation, your phone, and on and on.

In this week’s podcast, we’re talking about how to create a command post in your home.
