Question of the Week: What Does a Perfect Day Look Like to You?
I love this question because it gets us thinking about all the things that bring us joy. It’s a limitless question, and one you can have a lot of fun with.
I actually have a few different perfect days. For me, a perfect work day would be conducting a client call where she has a major breakthrough, being interviewed or guest posting on another website, and receiving a sweet email from a reader. So gratifying!
A perfect non-work day for me would be strolling through the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World with my hubby Chris, eating tons of yummy food, going on my favorite rides, and watching the fireworks. Pure bliss!
If you want more practice visualizing a perfect day, try keeping an aspiration journal (free printable).
But what if you have no ideal what a perfect day looks like because you have so many crummy ones? If that sounds like you, check out my post about creating a Bad Day Emergency Kit. It’s an easy way to turn around even the suckiest of days.
What does a perfect day look like to you?
In the comments below, share all the sweet things that you would include.
A perfect day for me would be going on an adventure with my husband, siblings, and parents. We don’t often all get together at once, but it’s always a blast when we can!
When it comes to an adventure, the more the merrier! 🙂
Ooooh I love this question!! Hmmm… my perfect day is actually pretty simple! A good weather perfect day would be me spending some time outside by the beach (I love going to the boardwalk early to watch the surfers!!) or strolling the grounds of one of the gorgeous mansions here on Long Island. A yucky weather perfect day is being lazy in bed with coffee cuddling with Tyler and the kitties and watching crappy movies and/or the weather channel 😉 I’d have to borrow the animals from my brother but I’m sure he’d understand ha!
I love it that you categorized your days in terms of weather. You’re such a science nerd! 🙂 I have to agree that a crappy movie marathon is pretty fantastic.
A day at Disney! Yes, please! I also enjoy a nice day at the beach…husband in hand and a good meal to enjoy! It’s the little things!
Disney all the way! Yep, I agree that some little things (like a lovely cup of tea) can be absolutely perfect too.
Your perfect day sounds like my perfect day! I love Disney World!
I think my other perfect day though would be spending the day at my favorite state park with my husband and future child, having a bonfire at our cabin at the end of the day with S’mores and a beer.
Go Disney! 🙂 S’mores sound pretty perfect too. Really, anything with chocolate is perfection.
Mine would be spending the entire day out in nature somewhere with Mike & the girls. The day would be beautiful & sunny, too, of course. 🙂
That sounds perfect, Molly!
