Link Roundup: Life Is Messy

Skyla has been getting baths more frequently than usual…like 3 baths in the past week.

Why’s that? She’s discovered her new favorite activity: playing in the mud.

She’ll run through the mud playing fetch with Chris, and she’ll dig in the wet sandbox at the park with me. Our beige carpet has become quite speckled with muddy puppy paw prints.

The funny thing is, Skyla never used to like getting dirty. She still doesn’t like being out in the rain. But I guess she’s loosened up in her old age (she’s almost 2!).

Life is messy! And sometimes it’s better to relax and go with it…even if that means you need to get your hands (or paws) dirty.

When have you had to deal with a mess in your life? Were you able to see the bright side of a messy situation?

While we start another bath for Miss Muddy Butt, here are some tidbits for you to peruse at your leisure.

I have learned to embrace the messy moments, they make you grow as a person!

What a great post Sage! Such a cute way to discuss a “messy” subject 😉 I try very hard to look at the bright side of things. I’m starting to come around.

I definitely need to check out the Somebody Hating on Your Dreams link. Everyone hates on my dreams lol but I need to get over that judgement and do what I know is right!

Aw, cute! They’re such a mess to clean up, but mud puppies are so adorable. Emma doesn’t like to get dirty, ever, but Rowan has no problems with it. She’s stinky on top of it all, so she gets more baths than Emma does.

On Friday when I was driving past the dog park, a shaggy white dog was running full speed along the fence and had mud up to almost his belly. He looked so happy! 🙂

I’m going to have to check out the Somebody Hating On Your Dreams link. We don’t even like mentioning wanting to live in an Airstream someday to a few people in our lives.

Skyla looks amazingly happy when she’s digging in the mug. She likes making little canals with the puddles too.

There will always be haters who just don’t understand your dreams. I think living in an Airstream sounds exciting, but I can see why some people won’t get it. I got a lot of weird looks when I told people I was going to become a life coach! In the end, you gotta live the life you want, not the one people expect you to live.
