How to Blog Like a Badass

Today I’m thrilled to have a guest post published on the website of my business coach, Christine Kane. It’s for all you bloggers out there who are sick of wimpy blog posts and want to embrace your inner badass!

My guest post is part of a quarterly contest Christine has where the winner is determined by number of click-throughs, comments, and shares. Here’s a snippet of my guest post, and if you love it, please read the rest on Christine’s blog and leave a comment. Thank you!

Recently, I was on a video call with one of my clients who was getting increasingly hung up on her marketing.

She put her face in her hands and said, “Sage, do I really need to have a blog?” Then she looked up and gave me those puppy dog eyes as if pleading with me would make me change my mind.

But my clients don’t get killer results by me being a pushover. I’m a badass coach, and that means staying firm with my clients when they want to slack off.

I’ll tell you what I told her—YES! If you have a business, then you MUST have a blog.

Whether you have an online business or a brick and mortar store, your blog is a non-negotiable part of your overall business plan.

Without a blog, your website is like a PB&J sandwich without the PB. Yuck!

Your Business Blog Serves Two Purposes:

  1. It lets people know your business is still up and running.
  2. It’s an essential marketing tool.

When I visit a business’s website, I always check to see if they have a blog. If they do, I next look to see when their last post was published.

If it’s been more than a week or two since they’ve published new content, I either think they’re being lazy with their business (so why would I hire them?) or the business has closed!

Have you been dragging your feet about starting a business blog?

No more! It’s time to put on your big girl panties and use your blog to your best advantage. Your business and your customers are counting on you.

Here are 3 no-nonsense reasons why to you need to blog like a badass.
