Happy Groundhog Day! We’re halfway through winter, and spring is just on the horizon.

I’ve always loved Groundhog Day because it’s such a lighthearted, silly holiday. Skyla likes small rodents too, but for entirely different reasons.

Today I’ll be watching the classic Bill Murray comedy Groundhog Day and being eternally grateful that there is only one season where I live: mild.

Click here to read my post from last year about why you should stop living your life like it’s Groundhog Day.

Do you like silly holidays? Have you ever made up your own holiday?

While I enjoy one of my favorite movies (“Don’t drive angry!”), here are some tidbits for you to peruse at your leisure.

Oh my gosh, Skyla was so little! Yeah, Groundhog’s Day is a silly holiday but it’s fun to see if the groundhog is correct. Living in Ohio though, I don’t hold my breath. It’s usually cold until mid May anyways, lol!

I hear the groundhogs disagreed today! Now how will we ever find out if winter is going to be long or short? 😉

Haha, I guess it depends of which groundhog lives closest to you? Personally, I love Punxsutawney Phil.

Aww sweet Skyla! What an adorable picture! Such a sweet face 🙂

Bill Murray is awesome, great way to celebrate the day 😉 I love Halloween too. Don’t celebrate it too much though, unfortunately…

    Thanks for the links!

Thanks, Sarah. There were some huge raccoons fighting outside our building last night and Skyla wanted to jump off the balcony and eat them. I don’t know why she has this taste for blood.

Oh my, that picture of Skyla! What an adorable sweetie. <3

We don't celebrate holidays much, but I do really enjoy Halloween. Another great list of links. I'm going straight to the health & fitness mantras!

Halloween is my favorite holiday…after my birthday, of course. 🙂 The health and fitness mantras are really cool and they’re “pin-able”. I need all the motivation I can get.
