It’s been a great week for me, and I’m having a bit of a mantra moment.
I’ve written before about how much I love mantras (a word or phrase that you say to yourself to bring about a change in your mood, viewpoint, or attitude).
“Calm” is still my fave mantra, but I also really like “I am well. I am happy. I am free.”
But did you know that I ask my clients to choose mantras for themselves every week?
Since they can’t cram me into their (overstuffed) purses and take me with them, I have them choose a phrase to be their guide when they face obstacles.
Well, one of my clients chose the Lady Gaga song “Just Dance” for her mantra. Just dance…It’s gonna be OK…
C, this one’s for you, girl!
I love it that she chose an upbeat, rockin’ mantra to keep her focused on making progress—even teeny tiny progress—every day. And FYI, she’s been able to complete all her daily to-dos since we started working together. That’s totally cause for a happy dance.
My client is inspiring me to choose a more kickass mantra, especially since there are so many changes going on around here.
What’s your move-your-butt mantra?
I’m really diggin’ Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s “Can’t Hold Us.” So we put our hands up like the ceiling can’t hold us…Like the ceiling can’t hold us!
(No, I have no idea what’s happening in the video either. Haircut on the beach?)
Yes! It makes me feel like I’m so full of life and energy that I’m going to bust the roof off this place!
But you know what’s so cool? We’re doing it together. The ceiling can’t hold US!
Do you feel like you’re bursting with positivity, creativity, and light? Have I got an opportunity for you!
At the nudging of Jess Lively (thanks, Jess!), I’ll soon be adding an intern to my sweet team. And it could be you!
Stay tuned for a detailed job description for my new internship position. A handful of you have already contacted me after seeing Jess’s Facebook page, and I’ve let you know that I’ll be sending you more info soon…so sit tight.
I’m very excited to be moving forward in my life and business. Woop woop! Like the ceiling can’t hold us!
