Question of the Week: What’s Your Favorite Summer Memory?
To tell you the truth, fall is my favorite season. But still there’s something about summer that brings out the dreamer in me.
I have so many fond summer memories: singing songs (loudly and obnoxiously) at summer camp, chasing the ice cream truck down the street, vacations in Walt Disney World, opening day of all the summer blockbuster movies, making dozens of friendship bracelets.
How about you?
In the comments below, share your favorite summer memory.
Ooooh I love this question! I also have a bunch of nice memories including rollerblading from the morning until dinner time, playing in the park with friends when my brother was playing his little league games, going to Mets games with my dad, swimming in my friend’s pool and spending hours sitting at my favorite coffee house not worrying about school the next day 🙂 Oh and going with my mom to the beach really early in the morning and sitting on the boardwalk watching the surfers. So sad the boardwalk is gone now but there are a lot of great memories on that boardwalk! Ooooooooh and driving around with my friends with the windows open singing and dancing to silly music 🙂
Driving around with my friends while sipping enormous frozen coffee drinks is one of my favorite memories. Everything seems more lighthearted and fun in the summer!
You have some wonderful summer memories! I have a lot, both when I was a kid and as an adult, but if I had to pick the best one it would be the first night Mike kissed me. We were taking a walk on the beach at night & had it all to ourselves. It was the start of my own fairy tale! 🙂
That’s a beautiful summer memory! So romantic. 🙂
Not really a single memory but the entire summer (2004) I met my husband. For the first time in my teen life I had a great group of friends and a car and some spending money. We did all sorts of fun stuff as a little group – pool parties, trips to the lake, ice cream, bowling, the movies. My best friend had to have intense foot surgery so we toted her and her wheelchair everywhere which meant driving her grandma’s ancient Oldsmobile. Ahhhh, memories!
So many people I talk to have memories of falling in love during the summer. It’s a magical time! I met my husband in the fall, but our summer together after graduation was pretty lovely.
