Question of the Week: What Do You Want To Stop Doing?

Lately, I’ve been looking at my life through a magnifying glass. I’m examining everything I do and determining whether the task makes me feel freakin’ amazing or whether it makes me feel like I want to crawl under a rock and hide. It’s all very scientific.

You might have noticed that I started using those colorful category bars again at the top of my posts (like Relationships, Self-Empowerment, etc.). My newest category is Life Editor, where I’ll talk about editing your life to just that parts that are serving you. If you follow Jess Lively, this is similar to her “exfoliating” technique.

This week I’m focusing on things I want to stop doing because they no longer fit into my life. And sadly, that means I put my beloved online magazine Sweet and Sage on hold. My life is very full right now (and that’s a good thing!), but that means I don’t have the energy to devote to Sweet and Sage on top of all the things I do for my life coaching business.

So, Sweet and Sage is one of those things I’m going to stop doing, at least for now. What things in your life do you want to stop doing?

You have to be realistic. We can’t all stop paying taxes or wearing pants!

But take a look at each area of your life and see if there’s something that’s draining you or taking up valuable time you could be using on something you truly love. This could mean ending a toxic friendship, cutting back on the sugary snacks, or stopping your procrastination in its tracks.

And if you’re looking for a more in-depth analysis of what’s working in your life and what’s not, check out the Editor Session. It’s a single-session life coaching program where you’ll turn the rough draft of your life into an amazing story.

You get step-by-step instructions for editing your habits, health, relationships, career, and spirit, plus learn the editing process and how to set a foundation, delete the junk, add good things, rearrange your routines, and find white space. Click here for all the details.

In the comments below, share something you’re going to stop doing and the impact it will have on your life and happiness.

Ooooh this is a great question! I think that I need to stop eating processed food. I noticed that the more it creeps back into my diet the more crappy I feel all around. I am going to stop being lazy and get back to cooking fresh meals with beautiful fresh produce 🙂 I think that this change will help me improve my energy, my mood, and my health and I could definitely use improvements in all of these areas!
