Question of the Week: If You Could Have One Wish Granted, What Would You Choose?

Today’s question reminds me of the genie from the Disney movie Aladdin. In the end, Aladdin used his final wish for the greater good (ie, freeing the genie) rather than for himself.

So I bet most of you would choose to wish for world peace, to end hunger, to provide education to everyone on the planet, or some other lofty goal.

But I want you to be selfish with your wish. I want you to choose something just for you. Hmm, maybe I’m more like Jafar…

What one wish would you like fulfilled in your life?

In some cases, changing one thing will have a huge effect on many other areas of your life. For example, getting to a healthy weight will improve your self-esteem, your relationship with your partner, the way people treat you at work, etc. A job you’re passionate about will make you happy and more content, which will spill over into all your relationships.

Once you have your wish in mind, then you have to do the work to make it true. But that’s the fun part! You get to be your own genie.

It’s so hard, ie easily …
It is difficult, because of course I wanted to be a blessing for my family. But this conversation is not about that … I would like to work in fashion or photography, but unfortunately so far I did not get (to raise a child, the purchase of the apartment and so on). But I’ll try)))

I haven’t reached all of my dreams yet either. But that’s why we keep trying. I’d rather be happily pursuing a dream than sadly give it up.

This is a really great and difficult question!! I think that my wish would be to have a really fulfilling job that was I was passionate about and couldn’t wait to get to every day! I think that would erase a lot of my anxiety and depression, boost my self esteem, relieve some insecurity and overall I’d just be happier. And you are so right! I do have the capacity to make my wish come true, I just need to figure out exactly what job that would be 😉

Figuring it out is a lot of fun, and you can always change your mind later. My dream job from 5 years ago is different than my current dream job as a life coach. That’s OK! When your wishes change, then you get to move in a new direction.

This is going to sound morbid, but I’d wish that when I die, I do so quickly and not suffer or make my family suffer. Ideally I’d like to go in my sleep, at a ripe old age, never really burdened with the failing health of old age, but that may just be asking for too much.

    bisous

I don’t think that’s morbid. Dying is just a part of the life cycle. I think many people wish that they’ll have a “good death,” whatever that means to them. I would like to be strong and active before I die, and not sick in a nursing home for 20 years.

I wish I could be a girl. Be accepted as female and able to live life as one. I doubt that’s ever going to happen but you asked. 🙂

I’ve seen some pretty big wishes come true in my life and in the lives of people I care about. I’m holding a place in my heart for your wish to come true. We should all feel loved and accepted.

    That’s a tough question!! 🙂

But, at this moment, my one wish would be to do work that I’m passionate about, that inspires me to wake up, that uses my creativity, and that helps others. (Then I’d wish to travel around the world. Sorry, I had to throw a second one in!)

I’m working on that wish now. I’m realizing that I’m the only one standing in my way. So, you’re right — I need to be my own genie! I’m the only one who can make that wish come true.

World travel sounds pretty fantastic to me! 🙂 And I know so many women who get in their own ways–myself included. But I only get what I wish for when I work to make it happen.

I really love the work you do, Jennifer, and I’m sending you lots of positive energy for you to be able to serve others with your business and creative spirit.
