So Long, Farewell, Auf Weidersehen, Goodbye…

I recently watched The Sound of Music Live! starring Carrie Underwood, and I’m still humming the songs days later.

The production got mixed reviews, but I loved every minute of it. I appreciate it when someone takes a risk by “daring greatly,” as Brene Brown would say.

Most people prefer the song “My Favorite Things” from the musical (especially since it’s almost Christmas!), but I can’t seem to get “So Long, Farewell” out of my head.

So Long, Farewell, Auf Weidersehen, Goodbye!

This seems fitting because it’s time to say goodbye to fall. For those of you who got snow way back in October, you probably think fall went away some time ago!

But technically, fall ends next week, and that means my fall life coaching programs are going away too.

I’ve got a special farewell gift for you! Just call me Santa Sage. :)

I was actually pretty impressed with the TV version of the Broadway show–yes, it wasn’t exactly the same, some scenes were performed quite differently, but I liked the different interpretation! (I still like the original, too!)

I loved that show! Not only did I watch it live on TV, it was made ten minutes from my house! They did it in an old Grumman Aerospace hanger which was converted to a movie-studio when that company moved out of town.

I’m a big fan of the male lead (he’s Bill in “True Blood”) and I dreamed about meeting some of the cast on the street while they were in town. But, alas…

That’s so cool! I’m a huge fan of True Blood…and really anything with vampires in it. I thought the show was great, and the singing was amazing! Too bad so many critics were harsh on Carrie’s performance.
