Editor’s Notebook 1

Welcome to the very first Editor’s Notebook!

If you’re anything like me (and of course you are—why else would you be reading my blog?), then you probably have dozens of notebooks, scribbled-on bits of paper, and Post-Its all over the place.

That’s how editors’ minds work. We have hundreds of creative ideas spinning around our heads, but we gotta get them out on paper so we can plan, share, and dream.

While my actual physical notebooks are bursting with half-thought-out ramblings, my Editor’s Notebook blog posts will be decidedly more organized for your benefit. You’re welcome. 🙂

The Editor’s Notebook posts (formerly known as Link Roundup) are my place to share the things I’m loving this week and other random links that have caught my eye. Enjoy!

What I’m Loving This Week

Emma Approved by Pemberley Digital

If you enjoyed last year’s Lizzie Bennet Diaries, you’ll love sassy Emma Woodhouse from the web series Emma Approved. In this modernized version of Jane Austen’s Emma (much like the 90s movie Clueless), our peppy heroine tries to better the lives of everyone she meets. And here’s the best part—she’s a life coach!

The Lively Show podcast by Jess Lively

I’m a huge fan of Jess Lively (really, who isn’t?), and her new podcast is top-notch stuff. Learn how entrepreneurs, bloggers, and other out-of-the-box thinkers create lives with intention.

Frozen Soundtrack

I don’t care that this movie came out 6 months ago. I will never let it goooo!!! I know you want to sing along too. Go ahead! I won’t tell.

Love the round-up! I was thinking just yesterday that I wanted to do a weekly thing like this on my blog called, The Wander(er) or Weekly Wander.

It’s such a shame to keep such awesome things to yourself! Sharing is Caring, right?! 🙂

What a cute concept to redesign your link roundup! I love these posts, I get to see fun and interesting things I probably wouldn’t have seen otherwise. I am definitely like you, I love my lists. I’ve always wanted to start one of those journals that I’ve seen where people write and draw and do all of these beautiful artsy things…. but my artistic talent is non-existent lol. Can’t wait to check out these links! The pup alarm clock was so cute and hilarious! Such a beautiful pup too 🙂

Thanks, Sarah! I like being able to share the random things I come across during the week. You don’t have to be an artist to have a writing/drawing journal–it’s just for you! I dare you to get one anyway. 🙂
